We have began to talk about math problem solving. Today we had students share their work while the class found out positive aspects of their work and also parts of the problem that could be improved. The students who shared made great teachers.

11/7/2008 Letter Home

November 7, 2008

Dear Parents,

We have had great week! Our class has been working on many different things. First we have been trying to complete our Native American writing. Many of the groups have been writing about clothes, shelter, tools, weapons, food, and ceremonies that their tribe had. Most of us are very close to typing our information on the computer so it can be made into a power point slide show. Next we have been learning about author’s purpose. Author’s purpose has to do with why an author would write a book, and why we would read their work. Each of us made a book bag that shows what we read, and why we read what we read. Mrs. Daling is doing a great job! As you can see we have had a groovy week.

Sincerely,

Your Snow Bunny
